You will need extra 6 black and 3 white squares1"x1"
and 6 grey squares 0.5"x0.5"
STEPS

Draw a 9"x6" grid on a bright colored construction paper. Cut six 3"x3" black squares Cut three 3"x3" white squares Cut six 2"x2" grey squares. |

Cut white squares diagonally in halves. |

Align the corners of black and white shapes. Glue them together. |

Place the grey square in the center. |
 |
Align the corners and glue together. |
 |
Continue gluing the elements. |

When you have all elements ready - align them with the grid. Glue! |
