STEPS

grid

Draw a 6"x9" rectangle on a piece of illustration board.

Mark every 3/4 inch all the way around.

Make sure all 4 sides have the marks.

Connect the grid marks with very fine pencil lines.

You will be erasing them after you are done.

Try to be very precise.

You should end up with 8 squares x 12 squares grid.

Feel free to use different grid dimensions, but keep the number of squares 8x12.

copy

Work with copying one square at a time.

Isolate the rest of them with sticky notes.

Continue with the pencil to place all important shape outlines. This will help you to position the values in the right spots.

Do not use pencil for shading or for pointillism technique in this assignment!!

Look for the key points.

Mark these points onto the grid.

Outline major shapes and lines.

It might help to outline simplified shapes in the original printout.

Continue outlining each square.

Switch to a black pen or an ultra fine point marker!

Copy each square exactly as it is: include all values and details.

Be patient.

Place the dots accurately!
